ROTEC develops tools for mineral scaling management in desalination plants and industrial u/ater treatment facilities, enabling high recovery desalination and more timely and cost effective operation by applying novel and breakthrough technologies for sensing, monitoring, and prevention of mineral scaling.
ROTEC Ltd., established in Feb. 2009, develops novel and breakthrough technologies for sensing, monitoring, and prevention of mineral scaling on the surface of membranes and pipes in the water treatment industry.
Implementing scaling prevention technology in membrane-base desalination plants will result in increasing the process recovery rate, thus dramatically reducing brine volumes requiring disposal, minimizing anti-scalants consumption, and significantly reducing the costs of desalinated water.
Applying scale sensing technologies in desalination plants and industrial water treatment facilities, will enable better process control and real time basis early warning of failures in production. Company developed products can also be used as important decision support tools for the developing field of IT (Information Technology) network or 'smart grid' system used for smart control of water systems.
To date, the company demonstrated the technologies proof of concept, applied for international patents to protect its intellectual property rights, and is currently operating several industrial scale pilot systems in Israel and abroad.
