SBM Mineral Processing GmbH, an Austrian company with a long-standing tradition, ranks among the leading full-package suppliers of mineral processing plants and conveying plants for the natural stones and recycling industries and concrete mixing plants for ready-mixed and prefab concrete. In the business field mineral processing, SBM carries the brands SBM and MFL. SBM stands for more than 60 years of experience and is a globally well-established comprehensive supplier for highest demands. The product portfolio covers individual machines, mobile and stationary mineral processing plants and concrete mixing plants as well as service and support. All products are manufactured according to most demanding quality criteria. SBM Mineral Processing GmbH belongs to the MFL group operating in more than 50 countries all over the world.
The mineral processing division has successfully established the newly developed standard series of mobile crushing and screening pants in the market.
After Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia, SBM has now also become the market leader in Germany with concrete mixing plants.
SBM takes over the concrete division from the company Doubrava and strengthens its position as a full-range supplier in the field of mobile and stationary concrete mixing plants.
SBM adds stationary concrete mixing plants to its product portfolio, which makes SBM a full-range supplier for ready-mixed and prefab concrete.
SBM moves on the 1st of July to a new company building that is 5 km away, in Oberweis close to Gmunden..
SBM Mineral Processing GmbH has been taken over by Maschinenfabrik Liezen’s associates – Group Haider, Heinrich Obernhuber and Krünes Consulting GmbH. This is a huge step forward to present and even expand two well established brands in the field of mineral processing – MFL and SBM – on the world market in the years to come. SBM becomes the technology centre for processing technology and concrete mixing plants in the MFL group of companies.
The company’s new name „SBM Mineral Processing GmbH“ indicates the company’s strategic reorientation towards international markets. SBM Mineral Processing positions itself as a provider of customizable, turnkey solutions.
NVI BeteiligungsGmbH acquires SBM Wageneder GmbH.
Walter Hackmair acquires SBM Wageneder and revitalizes the subsidiaries in Bochum and Kitzingen. The production and office premises in Laakirchen are extended at the same time.
SBM builds the first production plant; the second works follows in 1972. The company changes its name to 'SBM Maschinenfabrik F. Wageneder GmbH' in 1974. 1978 SBM Wageneder acquires PWH – Weserhütte, Cologne.
Franz Wageneder, the owner of a sand and gravel works, founds SBM Wageneder and builds his first impact/grinding mill.
The companies of MFL group specialise in engineering, constructing and manufacturing complex machines and plants. The center of manufacturing is Maschinenfabrik Liezen und Gießerei Ges.m.b.H. in Austria, with a factory area of 220,000 m2 where mineral processing plants, concrete mixing plants, sawing and milling plants, grinding plants, machines for the cable and wire industries and plants for fibre cement products are manufactured. Within MFL group approximately 1,000 employees are working. SBM has 130 employees and belongs to the MFL Corporate Group.
