Water is the essence of life and is of vital importance to us even before we come into this world. We babies know that mama takes very good care of us as we slumber snugly in her round little belly. But is the water she's drinking really safe for both of us? Is it free from pesticides, hormones and plastic softeners from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that could harm us?

Taking a shower is one of life's truly great pleasures. Whether in the morning, in the evening, or just in between, taking a shower lets us experience the element of water with all our senses. Legionella, for example, is a bacterium which causes the serious Legionaires' disease as well as Pontiac fever. These tiny little creatures thrive in amoebae which can be found in standing water – this also means standing water in pipelines leading to showers. Legionella bacteria are a special danger for shower facilities which have not been in use for awhile, for example, in summer cottages, gyms or swimming pools. We cannot see or smell the Legionella, but it can be there and we can inhale it in droplets while taking a shower.
Legionella can be controlled effectively by chlorination. But do we really want chlorine in our water? Not really! Seccua's filtering units take care of Legionella as well as chlorine so that we can truly enjoy our showers without a care in the world.
