We work in partnership with local organisations and with them help long term unemployed people back into the workplace. We offer local based placements and a mentor to support them into a permanent job.

We will always buy and sell our products in a responsible way.
We have high expectations of our suppliers and we aim to:

  • Build strong relationships with our suppliers
  • Get the best value for our customers
  • Give our customers confidence that we maintain good conditions throughout our supply chain
  • All of our suppliers must meet the criteria of our procurement selection process. We continually review this and measure performance project by project.
  • We ensure that our customers know that everything we procure is manufactured under decent conditions and every partner is treated respectfully and fairly.
  • We are committed to this not just because it is the right thing to do, but also because it is in our business interest. It ensures that our performance standards are met and helps us to improve the sustainability of our supply chain through our long term relationship.

SERS operate a unique web based material and plant hire management system called Procost. This allows the company to manage all of our materials against predefined volumes.

As all of our materials are purchased via the Procost system we are able to track and control all materials used by the company for a particular project. This has helped to reduce wastage on our sites, control costs and track progress of deliveries to supply single or multiple sites.

People feel more committed when they know they can grow with the company, helping us to retain a loyal and skilled workforce.
