SKE Solutions Ltd. was established in 2002 by Sean Kerlin from a previously formed partnership which had started business in 1993. The business had enjoyed considerable success throughout the 1990’s and by 2002 it was felt that the company would benefit from its own identity and branding.

As such SKE Solutions Ltd. was formed by Sean Kerlin and his wife Marina. By 2003 SKE Solutions was expanding again, having opened a sales office in the UK. It was also in this year that the company began construction of its own purpose built office complex and workshop which was completed by mid 2004. In September 2003 Sean Kerlin began a Masters Degree in Innovation at the University Of Ulster and graduated in 2005, obtaining a Master of Science Degree (MSc) with Distinction.

From the early 1980’s Sean Kerlin has been involved in engineering, working initially in precision and specialised engineering. During this time his work received media and television coverage and the Head of Engineering at Queens University is quoted as saying that the standard of engineering produced was among the highest quality that he had ever come across.

Year on year, a large proportion of SKE’s business consists of up to 80% export sales. At the same time it is believed that as much as 90% of the drinking water supplied in Northern Ireland today has a SKE designed and installed plant at the heart of its treatment process. This reflects well on SKE Solutions, as this is a market where quality, reliability, product knowledge, service and back-up is ultimate.
