Beginning with the production of custom canvas products in 1887, including wall tents, chuck-wagon covers and mattresses in the North American west, the Sprung family name has been synonymous with 'innovative enclosures' for well over a century. It all started with tough canvas that needed to stand up to the rigors of the new world, and has expanded far beyond what the original Sprung founders could ever have imagined. This proud family tradition continues today, while keeping up with the latest technologies.
Nobody understands fabric like Sprung. Our high-performing, long-lasting structures can meet a variety of needs and is adaptable enough for almost any climate, design needs and budget. Technology has become the hallmark of the Sprung family, and the entire company, which has invested heavily in research and development of its products.
Currently, Sprung structures are utilized in hundreds of different applications, in over 100 countries, for some of the world’s leading organizations. With well over 12,000 structures in use, Sprung continues to expand the vision established by the company roughly 130 years ago.
Committed to Responsible Corporate Action
At Sprung, we recognize that our operations have a broader social, environmental and economic impact. The Sprung business approach is built on sustainable and responsible growth, and our programs reflect this commitment.
Helping the Community in Times of Urgent Need
From emergency shelters, medical facilities and temporary schools to membranes used for roof repair, our people have brought Sprung technology and expertise to areas around the world affected by crisis and devastation.
Sprung has been donating structures to disaster recovery applications since 1980. We work closely with partners such as AmeriCares, MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and Homes of Hope. We have been an important source of supply for the Salvation Army and the Red Cross in their disaster recovery efforts.
In 2002, Sprung received an award from AmeriCares Foundation presented by former First Lady Barbara Bush as a tribute to Sprung's ongoing commitment to recovery efforts.
Enhancing the Work Space and Work Life
Sprung employs hundreds of people worldwide, and we take their lives at work seriously. We designed our new head office so that every employee can benefit from light generated from the glazing walls and natural light panels.
We provide breakfast and lunch from our inhouse restaurant, a gymnasium and fitness center, and diverse skills development and training.
Staff meet for monthly updates on company activities, giving them first-hand information on new developments and providing an opportunity for feedback on how we can improve our operations.
A Sprung structure is naturally eco-friendly. Sure, it can be relocated and reused several times, but that's just part of the story.
Materials used in construction, manufacturing processes, adherence to international standards, and 'green technologies' all contribute to our smaller global footprint.
Sprung is committed to structures that are environmentally sound that yield next to no construction or landfill waste. In choosing to build with Sprung, you are choosing to build a structure that will help support your efforts to obtain LEED® certification, which means that an independent international group will recognize your structure and building strategies for its environmental and health performance. We even incorporate skylights and windows to take advantage of natural light—and reduce power consumption.
Sprung structures help leading corporations to quickly enter new market areas. We support military units in ready deployment and rapidly assist disaster recovery efforts.
Manufacturing and distribution centers in North America and the Middle East, with more than 2 million square feet of available inventory, mean we are able to respond to immediate structure requirements anywhere in the world. No Distributors Means Personalized Service
