Through our affiliation with Caterpillar, UIT has developed processes for getting critical underground utility data onto the machine control and guidance systems of excavators, dozers, and graders. These systems can warn operators of the proximity of utilities in order to avoid accidents and utility damage on construction projects.
UIT performs enhanced utility mapping through integrated use of geophysical and survey technologies to ensure that all the utilities possible to be located are found and mapped correctly throughout a project site. Using the combination of the Subsurface Utility Engineering process by the American Society of Civil Engineers and advanced geophysical toolbox, UIT provides the best available maps of subsurface utilities.
