Tradition and Vision
A family-owned company
In 1899, Franz-Anselm Viegener founded Viega, laying the foundation for our success story. It all began with beer taps, Viega’s first product, sold to local breweries and taverns around Attendorn, Germany. As the company grew, the number of products increased. Drains and overflow fittings came first, and when the first factories were opened, manufacturing expanded to include copper connections and plastic products for sanitary facilities. But we’ve never been satisfied with the status quo. We wanted to improve the industry, so we improved copper press technology, and followed that with invention of the Smart Connect feature. The innovations keep coming.

Today, Viega has become an international market leader with 10 locations and over 4,000 employees worldwide.
