Valve History – 2002
In 2002 WTR was reorganized into a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) with Sally Waldor becoming the President and sole owner of WTR.

Matt Waldor of Waldor Pump & Equipment was one of the original owners of WTR. Mr Waldor had extensive experience in supplying valves along with pumps and water – wastewater process equipment over a 35 year period. Mr. Waldor acts as a consultant to WTR.

WTR's first product was a Ball Check Valve. WTR recognized there were ways to improve the design and performance of the Ball Check Valves available in the market place.

A redesign of the Ball Check Valve occurred and manufacturing and sale of an improved design began in 2003. These valves are applied primarily for applications involving sludges, grit and raw wastewater services in which Ball Check Valves have advantages over conventional 90° swing check valves.

Expanded Product Line – 2005
In the year 2005 WTR decided to expand its line of valve products to include:

  • 90° Swing Check Valves
  • 45° Flexible Disc Check Valves
  • Tilted disc check valve
  • Gate Valves
  • Knife Gate Valves
  • Plug Valves
  • Butterfly Valves
  • Dual Disc and Silent Check Valves
  • Ball Shutoff Valves – Floating / Tru-union
  • Globe and Balancing Valves

All of these valve products are designed and manufactured to meet AWWA / ANSI and API Standards, as applicable.
