The AQQA Filtration Technology is used in Drinking Water Treatment to: remove all non-dissolved substances from the water, like sediment, algea, particles, suspended solids, organic matter disinfection of the water by acting as a barrier for bacteria and virus remove particles from precipitation (removal of manganese, iron).
The AQQA -bag is a personal device to make clean and safe water from water, that is contaminated with bacteria and virus, as for e.g. river or lake water. It covers the demand of one person for 6 months.
While the AQQA -bag provides drinking water in emergency situations, the AQQA-system is made for sustainable solutions, that are installed permanently and provide drinking water for a community for many years. E.g.: One AQQA80 filter can supply enough water for a small village of up to 1600 persons. It is simply submerged into a tank, that is build locally. The raw water runs through the filter just by gravity. In a second treatment step the water is treated with the AQQA-net using the photocatalytic effect.
AQQA is the ideal system to act as a prefiltration for Reverse Osmosis desalination systems. It is installed directly after the intake from the ocean. By taking out particles > 0,1 µm, the sensitive R.O. membranes can be protected and work much more reliable with a higher output.
AQQA can produce drinking water quality from rainwater. THE AQQA TECHNOLOGY IS USED IN RAINWATER SYSTEMS TO: remove all particles and sand. remove bacteria and virus. remove parts of plants.
THE AQQA FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY IS USED IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT TO: seperate the mixed liqour from the clear water phase in Membrane Bio Reactors (MBR). remove bacteria and virus from wastewater. remove particles (and attached organic and inorganic material) from any wastewater, thus reducing the freight of chemicals and the charges for the COD load (e.g. in Germany).
AQQA® is used in domestic wastewater treatment to: act as barrier for bacteria and virus in membrane bio reactors (directly inserted into the mixed liquor). constitute the final filtration of the effluent of standard sewage treatment plants (tertiary treatment). supply hygienically safe water for reuse, e.g. irrigation of public places and crops. The treated water complies with the German Norm DIN 19650, EK2, reused water for the irrigation of crops for raw consumption. It also exceeds the standards...
AQQA is used in industrial wastewater treatment to: separate the sludge from the clear water in membrane bio reactors. constitute the final filtration of the effluent of standard sewage treatment plants (tertiary treatment). keep specialized bacteria in the system, that can biologically degrade organic matter. enable Zero Liquid Discharge: prefiltration for reverse osmosis systems.
THE AQQA® technology is used onboard ships to: treat the wastewater in membrane bio reactors so that it complies with the regulations of the IMO (International Maritime Organization) for discharge into the sea in special areas ensure clear wastewater effluent with bathing water quality
