Digital Signatures and Seals for Site Plans

In response to rapid advances in technology, state agencies are beginning to develop and promote electronic application processes that include the electronic submission of site plans. To submit a site plan electronically, the site plan must include a digital signature and seal. This course will explain the process for affixing digital signatures and seals to site plans and will introduce some of the agencies that accept and/or will soon require site plans to be digitally signed and sealed. Presentations from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Department of Community Affairs (DCA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) will provide a brief overview of their new systems and will explain how digitally signed and sealed site plans will be submitted and reviewed moving forward.
