Modelling and Simulation of Transport Networks 2018
Application of theory related to transport modelling as well as hands on experience of software packages play a major role when it comes to decision-making in transport planning and policy evaluation. This course will introduce you to a selection of current and potential future approaches for applying transport models to the real world based on the theories and processes covered in the course, and providing hands on, in depth experience of popular software packages. You'll develop a fundamental understanding of the relationship between transport modelling and theory and their use in practice. You'll also gain hands on experience of using well established software packages, such as VISSIM and VISUM, which are commonly used to support decisions in the transport practice.
