National Ethanol Conference (NEC) 2019
The National Ethanol Conference (NEC) is the most widely attended executive level conference for the ethanol industry. Since 1996, the Renewable Fuels Association’s NEC has been recognized as the preeminent conference for delivering accurate, timely information on marketing, legislative and regulatory issues facing the ethanol industry. With numerous networking opportunities, more business meetings are conducted and contacts made at this conference than any other ethanol conference. In 2018, nearly 1,000 industry leaders and professionals attended the NEC, representing 37 states, the District of Columbia and 17 countries. Networking and business development have been the leading factors promoting attendance since the NEC’s inception.

For the third year, RFA partnered with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration to host an International Buyer Program (IBP) at NEC. The program is designed to introduce U.S. ethanol sellers to foreign buyers in an effort to expand U.S. exports. Through the department’s network of offices in U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide, the IBP recruits pre-screened foreign buyer delegations and brings them to selected trade shows and conferences in the United States, connecting U.S. companies with international buyers. At this year’s IBP, the Department of Commerce will recruit buyers from the target export markets of Canada, Mexico, India, South America and Asia to attend NEC.
