Odour nuisance assessment for agricultural facilities

by Cambridge Environmental Research Consultants (CERC)     based in Cambridge, UNITED KINGDOM

Assessment of odour impacts from agricultural facilities is increasingly required for planning and IPPC/EPR permitting.

CERC carries out odour impact assessments to investigate odour nuisance complaints, to predict the likely impact of new and existing facilities, and to evaluate the impact and cost effectiveness of various odour control strategies.

In order to carry out a robust assessment of odour impact, whether to evaluate a proposed facility or get to grips with an odour nuisance problem, it is important to establish a clear link between the operation of the plant, the resulting emissions and the odour impact.

CERC also has experience of bioaerosol dispersion modelling for composting facilities.
