Bio-fuel: A Bio-fuel is a fuel that contains energy from geologically recent carbon fixation. These fuels are produced from living organisms. Bio-fuels are made by a biomass conversion from a wide range of natural and organic resources which includes solid biomass, liquid fuel and biogases. Bio-fuels have increased in popularity because of rising oil prices and the need for energy security. The two main bio-fuels are ethanol and bio-diesel; both type of fuel causes less pollution as compared to conventional diesel- powered engines and have the same performance as a regular diesel fuel.
