The seminar brings together scientists who have Svalbard and Ny-Ålesund (78°55’N, 11°56’ E) in particular as a base for their research and monitoring activities.
Ny-Ålesund Science Managers Committee 11th Seminar October 9-11, 2013, National Research Council Rome - Italy
The aim of the meeting is to exchange scientific results, advancements, ideas and experiences to inspire each other and develop Ny-Ålesund further.
The seminar wants to foster the following topics:
- Flagship programs
- SSF funded projects
- Implementation of Ny-Ålesund monitoring activities
- NySMAC and SIOS: Status and future developments

Participants are invited to submit one-page A4 abstracts (figure included) no later than June 30th 2013, to:
Abstracts should include the following information:
- title (times new roman, 14, bold);
- authors full name and affiliations (times new roman, 12);
- text (times new roman, 11) and figures in one page;
- proposed topic;
- presentation preference (oral, poster).
File format must be: .doc, .docx, .pdf.
Participation to the seminar is free of charge. On-line registration will be available from June 1, 2013.
