Southfield, Mich. – DTE Energy and The Engineering Society of Detroit will co-host the 2007 Energy Conference and Exhibition May 15, 2007 at Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

More that 100 exhibitors will showcase products and services that will help building owners and managers conserve energy and save money. The conference has three tracks with 16 sessions on sustainability, energy conservation and on-site utility generation.

The morning keynote speaker will be Doug Bartow, Vice President, BMW Manufacturing Company, will talk about his company’s commitment to sustainable energy and the challenges of continuously reducing energy consumption in an expanding, high production facility.

The lunch keynote speaker will be J. Peter Clark, Chairman, Michigan Public Service Commission, who will talk about the recently released 21st Century Energy Plan to grow Michigan’s economy by enhancing the state’s ability to power itself through renewable resources, energy efficiency and the cleanest available utility-built generation.

Conducted annually for more than 10 years, this is the largest one-day conference and exhibition in the Great Lakes area that addresses energy efficiency and productivity. Conference session have more than doubled in an attempt to provide real-world solutions to today’s energy conservation needs and range from a discussion on meeting the world’s energy and environmental challenges to what is a green roof and does it really reduce energy consumption?

Attendees for this event include commercial and industrial building owners and managers for industries ranging from automotive manufacturing and supply to health care, education and food processing.

This event is part of National Transportation Week Detroit, May 13 – 19, 2007.

The cost to exhibit is $950 for a 10’ X 10’ booth. The cost to attend is $65 for ESD and Endorsing Sponsor members, $85 for the general public.
