3E Company Wins Prestigious Environmental Business Achievement Award
Company recognized for continued innovation in chemical, regulatory and compliance information solutions
3E Company®, the leading provider of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced it has received an EBJ Business Achievement Award in the IT Merit category. The Company was recognized for its continuing dedication to providing the highest quality services and solutions for managing environmental, health and safety (EH&S) compliance throughout the chemical lifecycle.
Judges cited the introduction of an internationalized version of 3E Online-MSDS, the company's award-winning Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) management system, as a contributing factor for the award. They also recognized the rapid growth of 3E's HazMat Mission Control Center, which offers unparalleled, 24-7-365 support to serve companies throughout the value chain seeking information and guidance on compliance issues and timely incident response. The Center is staffed by experienced HazMat professionals and fields nearly 10,000 calls per week to provide 'live' instantaneous service on a variety of issues ranging from small spills, major transportation incidents, and regulatory compliance assistance.
'We chose to honor 3E for their successful introduction and expansion of information technology-based solutions to address problems associated with emergency response, homeland security, and full chemical lifecycle compliance management' said Grant Ferrier, Editor-in-Chief, and Environmental Business Journal. 'Recent homeland security concerns regarding hazardous materials have emphasized the importance of properly managing products to increase safety and reduce risk.'
The EBJ Business Achievement Awards recognize innovation and value creation in the market. Sponsored by Environmental Business International, which publishes Environmental Business Journal (EBJ), the 2006 EBJ Business Achievement Award winners were determined by a committee of EBJ staff and EBJ editorial advisory board members. Criteria for the award included revenue growth, profitability gains, technology innovations and noteworthy expansions or acquisitions.
'We are very pleased to be recognized by such a prestigious publication as Environmental Business Journal,' said Robert S. Christie, CEO and president, 3E Company. '2006 was an incredible year for 3E. Not only did we continue to provide our customers with the highest-quality EH&S services and solutions, but we also received key industry recognition for doing so. No other EH&S solution provider in our space can compete with the depth and breadth of 3E's offerings, as evidenced by the fact that 3E was the only MSDS management or ER call center company to receive an Achievement Award.'
