On the Kölner Schiffswerft Deutz (KSD), the MS Amadeus Brilliant of Lüftner Cruises shipping company is equipped with a brand new sewage treatment plant.
Sustainable sewage treatment on MS Amadeus Brilliant
A large opening was made by KSD in the ship’s drinking water tank in order to remove the old vacuum system and sewage treatment plant. The entire installation was replaced by an InnoPack++ M of PureBlue. This system converts toilet and sanitary water as well as the galley and laundry water into a safe effluent according to European discharge standards. The sewage treatment system is safe for personnel and environmentally friendly. “Our installations are plug-and-play” states Angelo de Mul of PureBlue. “They are entirely assembled and thoroughly tested in our workshop. This reduces the building activities on-site. Thanks to its compact design, the InnoPack++ M is very well fitted for this retrofitting process. All our installations are continuously monitored by PureControl++. This eases the workload on the installation and keeps maintenance costs low. The minimal sludge production results in less work, less handling and lower costs.”
