It is great to be back in California where Kernic is installing a new dust and particle extraction system designed for a high-volume secure shredding center.
Shredded paper and dust particles are collected and conveyed through the fully integrated system. Shredded materials pass through a Kernic Rotary Airlock Separator and discharge into the baling press, while the conveyed air and dust particulate are then filtered by a continuous duty-pulse-jet dust collector.
The Dust Collector includes a screw conveyor that feeds collected dust to an automatic Dust Briquetting Press, which greatly reduces labour requirements and dust handling exposure.
Kernic’s OneSource for Simplicity design provides an engineered system comprised of Trim Conveying, Dust Collection and Air Filtration stages along with all required safety devices.
The starter motor is the key to starting a car. It can also be called engine starter or starting motor.
How it works is fairly simple: When you turn the car key or press the start button, the starting motor works by turning the engine’s crankshaft. This is the process that starts the internal combustion engine. This process seems easy, but there is complex engineering and precise mechanical structure behind it.
Generally speaking, starter motors usually don’t need to be replaced often during the...
A new academic study shows that low-cost sensors can be used to identify hotspots of particulate emissions on an industrial site, so the sources of harmful emissions can be easily found and mitigated. The sensors were also used to filter out background air pollution levels, meaning, the effects of site-specific emissions can be accurately measured. This study was led by a team of environmental scientists at Birmingham University.
Traditionally, expensive reference monitors have been used for air quality monitoring...
STEMart, a US-based provider of comprehensive services for all phases of medical device development, is proud to announce the launch of its new Particulate Matter Testing Services, offering a wide range of particulate testing from <0.001 μm to >3,000 μm. STEMart can provide accurate analysis and material characterization from nanometer scale particles to bulk powders with its various testing techniques.
Particulate matter is defined as foreign, mobile, undissolved particles, excluding air bubbles,...
Filtration and separation processes are widely employed in the automotive industry.
Car filters are a must if you want your beloved car to run like a Champion.
Every car has four main filters: the cabin filter, oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter. The function of all these filters is to enable flows and catch impurities: the dust and contaminants in the air, the impurities in the fuel, or the dirt in the motor oil.
Oil mist filtration is becoming an increasingly significant focus for many automotive manufacture...
The term "HEPA filter" can be confusing. What does HEPA stand for? What is a HEPA filter made from, and what actually makes it a HEPA filter?
What is a HEPA Filter?
"HEPA" stands for "high-efficiency particulate air" (filter). It sounds complicated, but HEPA air filters are nothing fancy. They were invented back in the 1940s when scientists were developing the atomic bomb, and they're just a mat of randomly aligned fibers, made from either glass or synthetic materials. The synthetic material used in the air...
