A&WMA and WEF Call for Odors and Air Emissions Abstracts for 2008 Conference
Pittsburgh, PA – The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA), in partnership with the Water Environment Federation (WEF), has issued a call for abstracts for the 2008 WEF/A&WMA Odors and Air Emissions specialty conference, to beheld April 6-9, 2008 in Phoenix, AZ. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, June 1, 2007.
As communities grow in size and population, more municipal, industrial, and agricultural facilities are confronted with issues related to odors and air emissions. The biennial Odors and Emissions conference, organized for 2008 in participation with the Arizona Water & Pollution Control Association, is designed to assist air and water quality professionals tasked with emissions management. The event aims to foster informed decision-making and encourage the use of effective innovative technologies, through a technical program that stresses real-life experiences and lessons learned.
The conference will include oral presentations, interactive discussions, workshops, and exhibits. Potential speakers are invited to submit an abstract for consideration. Abstracts addressing the following topics are invited: Methods for Sampling, Measuring, and Analyzing Emissions, Regulatory and Policy Issues, Fate and Odor Modeling, Odor and Emissions Control Systems, Emissions from Biosolids, Collection System Odors and Corrosion, Biological Odor Control, Sustainability and Greenhouse Gases, Bioenergy Technologies and Emissions Control, Innovative Technologies, Animal/Agricultural Waste Emissions, Emissions from Industrial Facilities, Source Control and Management Practices, and Odor Control Planning and Monitoring.
