This new index identifies listed companies that have demonstrated a dedicated strategy towards the environment. The CPLI is structured into several sectors such as consumer, energy, financials, health care, industrials, information technology, materials, telecommunication services and utilities. Of the 200 companies in the “A List”, 40 are classified under the “Industrials” sector, including Abengoa, which is the only Spanish company in this category. The report also refers to Abengoa as one of the companies that links its business to a strong anti-climate change stance, related to the solar plants it has constructed and operates.
