The yearly ACHMM conference serves as a forum to present the newest developments, emerging issues, regulatory updates and trends involving the EHS field. Abstracts are due January 15.
The 21st annual conference, one of the premier gatherings of EHS
professionals in the country, will take place August 12 to 15 at the
Papers are being solicited from the EHS community, including governmental agencies, military personnel, university students and EHS managers in all areas. The call for papers is open to both ACHMM members and nonmembers.
Papers will be accepted in these seven tracks:
- EHS Management and Management Principles
- Safety and Industrial Health
- Waste Minimization/Pollution Prevention/Green Facilities
- Developments in Emergency Preparedness, Response and Homeland Security
- Environmental Actions
- Regulatory Requirements, Updates and Legal Trends
- New and Emerging Technologies/International Issues/Developing Countries
Abstracts of up to 250 words and a 50-word biography of the prospective presenter are required for ACHMM consideration of a paper. Abstracts should clearly delineate the presentation's scope, objectives, methods, developments, results and conclusions. Abstracts will be accepted electronically up to the deadline date of January 15.
Submissions will be judged on specific issue topics as well as originality, pertinence and completeness. Notifications of acceptance will be made March 1.
Individuals who are selected to present their paper at the conference will receive complimentary conference registration for the day of their presentation.
