Aerodyne Releases New Animation of GatorGate(TM) Dry Material Handling Valve
Watch Unique Material Handling Valve Provide Jam-Free Operation With Chunky and Abrasive Materials
CLEVELAND, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 08/10/11 -- Aerodyne (http://www.dustcollectorhq.com/), a specialist in material handling valves, introduces its new animated demonstration of the GatorGate? Double-Dump Valve which is used to discharge chunky, fibrous, and abrasive material efficiently from dust collections systems.
This vivid demo, which is accessible online at www.DustCollectorHQ.com/050, illustrates the effectiveness of the GatorGate which works with low pressure air or gravity fed systems where standard rotary valves are prone to failure. Unlike other double-dump gate valves, the GatorGate has a cam-operated drive mechanism and spring-loaded gates which open and close alternately, thereby preventing air seepage and maintaining proper pressure. The detailed demo provides plant engineers and maintenance managers with an accurate look at the normal operation of the GatorGate.
Typical applications for the GatorGate are dry material handling and bulk material handling in wood, scrap metal, plastics, cement, and is a great alternative for applications not suited to a rotary airlock valve.
Available in three standard sizes of 8', 10', and 12' inlet diameters, the GatorGate can handle flow rates from 85 cu-ft/hr. up to 320 cu-ft/hr. Their design provides low maintenance in dust collection, mixing, batch feeding, drying, material recovery, and gravity fed hopper operations where rotary valves fail.
All gate valves are made with heavy duty carbon steel, cam mechanisms, and easy access cleanout doors that don't require tools. Optional features include stainless steel construction, an explosion proof motor, and high temperature options.
