SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced it will introduce new platforms for scientists and researchers conducting tests using spectroscopy solutions in Vietnam at the company's major customer event, Total Agilent Experience, March 4, in Ho Chi Minh City. More than 300 professionals from Vietnam's commercial, scientific and research communities are expected to attend.
'Since the official opening of our offices in Vietnam last year, Agilent's relationship with our customers and partners here has deepened,' said Agilent's Ms. Tan Mei Mei, business director, South Asia-Pacific region, Chemical Analysis Group. 'We are hosting our major Southeast Asian customer event in Vietnam as a demonstration of our commitment.'
'To ensure that our customers have access to the newest technologies, Agilent will showcase the latest spectroscopy technology platforms and newest bio-analytical instruments,' she added. 'We will also feature speakers on major industry issues and challenges such as accreditation, compliance and trace analysis in food, water, energy and chemicals.'
At the event, Agilent will unveil the latest spectroscopy products from the new platforms: the Agilent 7900 Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) and the Agilent 4200 Microwave Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectrometer (MP-AES). These analytical instruments can be used by scientists, chemists and laboratory professionals working in key industries such as agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, petrochemical and mining.
Using sophisticated, user-friendly elemental analysis technologies offered by these new platforms, scientists and researchers can work on a wider range of challenging applications with improved performance and ease of use, while laboratories and institutions gain value from deploying new technologies.
'Agilent takes feedback from all our customers very seriously when it comes to developing new products,' said Agilent's Stewart Carter, marketing programs manager for Spectroscopy, South Asia Pacific and Korea. 'Concerns such as increasing laboratory productivity, safety and ease of use of both software and hardware consistently rate highly.'
'Responding to this feedback has resulted in two new products aimed at satisfying our customers' current and future needs,' he said. 'The introduction of the 4200 MP-AES and 7900 ICP-MS demonstrate Agilent's global leadership position in elemental analysis. We are committed to providing our customers with the best tools to meet their application needs.'
About the two new platforms:
- The Agilent 7900 ICP-MS sets a new industry standard in quadrupole ICP-MS performance. The 7900 ICP-MS is a complete redesign, sharing only a few key components with the world's bestselling Agilent 7700 Series.
- The Agilent 4200 MP-AES Series provides the safest, most expansive yet cost-effective elemental analysis capabilities compared with any other entry-level atomic spectroscopy technology worldwide.
These instruments will be featured at Total Agilent Experience 2014, March 4 in Ho Chi Minh City. More details about the seminars can be found at www.chem.agilent.com/en-US/promotions/Pages/TAE-ap.aspx.
