GEORGETOWN, SC -- Agru America, Inc. is pleased to announce two recent managerial changes. Melissa Grace will be assuming the role of Business Unit Manager for the company’s Fiber and Textiles Business Unit, and Chris Eichelberger’s role as VP-Technical Marketing will be expanded to include the oversight of technical marketing associated with the complete Geosynthetics product line, which will now include the revolutionary ClosureTurf® solution.
Mr. Robert Johnson, President of Agru America, Inc. stated, “Melissa is ideally suited to her new position, with her degree in Polymer and Fiber Engineering, and her experience in market and business development, sales management and product and process improvements in the geosynthetics field.” As Business Unit Manager, Melissa will be responsible for developing new business and interfacing between the geosynthetics sales staff and the Agru America Andrews production plant and QC lab, as well as leading product development and providing technical support to customers and other Agru personnel. “Melissa joined Agru in 2012 and continues to be an important asset to our Agru Team,” continued Mr. Johnson. Chris, who recently joined Agru America, has over 14 years experience in the geosynthetics industry in a variety of roles including constructability reviews, installation of products, project management, contract administration, specification and material selection, and field experience in CQA of soils and geosynthetic materials. Also, Chris has previously worked with large environmental construction and geotechnical engineering firms. Mr. Johnson remarked, “As Vice President of Technical Marketing, Chris will utilize his technical expertise to develop, present and implement client solutions in collaboration with our Technical Geosynthetics Team.
