Air & Waste Management Association and the International Society for Exposure Analysis
Pittsburgh, PA – On behalf of the International Society for Exposure Analysis (ISEA), the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will accept abstracts and symposia proposals for the 17th Annual ISEA Conference, “Partnerships: Exploring Integrative Approaches in Exposure Assessment,” until Monday, April 30. The conference will be held Oct. 14-18, 2007, in Durham, North Carolina.
The ISEA Annual Conference gathers environmental and public health professionals to present and exchange information on recent advances in exposure science. Emphasis is placed on exploring new technologies, new science arenas, and new organizational partnerships in order to understand and reduce health risks from exposure to environmental contaminants.
A&WMA and ISEA are seeking abstracts and symposia proposals related to human-environment interaction, health sciences and exposure studies, risk analysis and challenges, emerging technology and global environmental issues, exposure science and disaster response, and social and ethical issues. A student poster competition will also take place during the conference. Participants should designate abstracts as “student” when submitting.
Abstracts can be submitted online at www.iseaweb.org. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified in early June.
ISEA was established in 1989 to foster and advance the science of exposure analysis related to environmental contaminants, both for human populations and ecosystems. The membership promotes communication among all disciplines involved in exposure analysis, recommends exposure analysis approaches to address substantive or methodological concerns, and works to strengthen the impact of exposure assessment on environmental policy.
The Air & Waste Management Association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization that provides training, information, and networking opportunities to thousands of environmental professionals in 65 countries.
