Air & Waste Management Association Offers Conference on `Managing Ship Emissions and Effluents with Emphasis on Eastern Canada and the North Atlantic Seaboard`
Pittsburgh, PA – The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will offer the specialty conference, “Managing Ship Emissions and Effluents with Emphasis on Eastern Canada and the North Atlantic Seaboard, ” Oct. 1 through Oct. 3 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Broken into five sessions, Managing Ship Emissions and Effluents will consider international drivers to control emissions and effluents from shipping operations, Canada’s experience and initiatives aimed at pollution related to shipping, the role of industry in protecting shipping channels, experiences in managing ship related pollution, and advancements in technology aimed at abating ship emissions and effluents.
Bill Nash, director general, marine safety for Transportation Canada will deliver the keynote address. In addition speakers from Holland America, SNC Lavalin, Shell Canada, Environment Canada, the Canadian Ship Owners Association, and the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute will address the conference. Representatives from the Port of Seattle, Vancouver Port Authority and Port Authority of New Jersey will also share case histories and lessons learned during the event.
