Air & Waste Management Association offers webinars on environmental risk management and the NSR PM 2.5 rule
The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present two Webinars for environmental professionals this August: “Environmental Risk Management,” August 6 at 2:00 p.m. EST, and “A Small Problem: The New NSR PM 2.5 Rule,” August 27 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
“These Webinars will provide convenient opportunities for participants to get up to date on some of the latest environmental issues,” said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA Executive Director. “The Webinars will discuss topics ranging from risks that companies face due to environmental hazards to the implications of recent rulings.”
“Environmental Risk Management” is geared towards company owners, risk managers, and environmental health and safety officers responsible for their facilities. The Webinar will offer tips from experts on managing costly risks presented by environmental issues, including advice on resolving claims and satisfying responsibility without endangering companies’ credit positions.

Featuring key industry leading instructors, “A Small Problem: The New NSR PM 2.5 Rule,” will discuss implications and challenges presented by the New Source Review Rule for fine particulate matter (PM 2.5), issued by the Environmental Protection Agency in May 2008. The Webinar will provide a timely opportunity for facility managers and other environmental professionals to find out how budgeting, pollution control levels, and other variables will be affected by the rule.
