The Municipality of Aix-En-Provence, South of France, is willing to improve the quality of life by acting against noise and air pollutions. The Municipality achieves diagnostics and finances solutions to reduce pollutions.

In this context, the Municipality of Aix-En-Provence is committed to the establishment of a noise observatory aiming at monitoring noise over long periods of time. To do so, the Municipality acquired 01dB DUO Smart Noise Monitors that have proved their reliability in many noise monitoring projects across the world.

In collaboration with Acoucité (Greater Lyon Noise Observatory), the noise data collected with three 01dB DUO Smart Noise Monitors is already made available to the public on Acoucité website: http://acoucite.org/Partenaires/CPA/reseau-de-mesure/API_CPA.php. Information obtained thanks to these 01dB DUO stations will be fundamental to analyse the situation of the 17 identified hot-spots that affect 18,000 inhabitants.
