AMETEK Land Helping Local Sports Club Reopen Safely with Donation of Temperature Measurement System
AMETEK Land has helped local sports club, The Hallamshire Tennis, Squash & Racketball Club, reopen safely by donating its new human body temperature screening system, VIRALERT 3.
VIRALERT 3 helps detect signs of elevated skin temperature, which is a symptom of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
The system can be easily installed into reception areas of buildings such as sports, gyms, swimming pools and other leisure facilities. VIRALERT scans visitors in two seconds or less, which means that people can pass through without any lengthy queues forming.
Justin Smith, LAND vice president, said: “We’re pleased that we can help facilities in our local area to open, allowing people to get back into sport and leisure. VIRALERT 3 is ideal for these sorts of businesses – it is a compact system, very easy to set up and use but more importantly, it is non-contact. Highly accurate readings mean that anyone with an elevated temperature will be identified before fully entering the building, thereby reducing the spread of infection”.
VIRALERT 3 has been developed using LAND’s proven expertise in temperature technology.
