AMETEK Land to Attend Emissions Monitoring Conference and Exhibition in India
AMETEK Land will exhibit at CEM India Emissions Monitoring Conference and Exhibition, September 26-28, 2017 in New Delhi, India.
AMETEK Land will demonstrate its range of high-accuracy opacity and particulate matter (PM) monitors, and portable gas analysers, that detect carbon monoxide, sulfuric acid and, multiple gases.
At the conference, Derek Stuart, Global Product Manager – Power, for AMETEK Land, will present a paper entitled, “Opacity Monitoring at Very-Low Levels”. “India is working hard to improve the environmental performance of its electricity generating industry. Accurate measurements of stack emissions using an opacity monitor are essential to demonstrate the progress that is being made”, notes Stuart.
India is among the world's fastest growing economies and currently has some of the worst air pollution, ranking tenth in the list of median PM concentrations published by the World Health Organization. To tackle that issue, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India has taken an important step to adopt Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) Systems.
The CEM India conference follows a series of highly successful CEM events, which have been held across Europe since 1997. The Indian conference will provide its international delegates and visitors with in-depth information on Indian regulation and policy, monitoring guidelines, calibration and quality control.
At the exhibition, AMETEK Land plans to showcase its Model 4500 MkIII opacity and 4650 PM monitors, which have set the industry standards for compliance opacity and dust concentration monitoring.
With its patented technologies, the 4500 MkIII monitor achieves the highest available specification for the principal performance parameters as defined by the internationally recognized ASTM Standard D 6216-12.
In addition, AMETEK Land’s Lancom 4 portable gas analyser ensures ease-of-use on site for combustion efficiency and emissions monitoring measurements in all boiler system and pollutant gas processes. Using an advanced sample conditioning system and having the ability to monitor up to 9 different gases and a total of 17 measurement parameters simultaneously, the Lancom 4 offers the best accuracy available.
All AMETEK Land systems on display at CEM India 2017 have industrial applications in the power sector for improving process control, quality assurance and control and reduced life-cycle costs.
