AMETEK Land to discuss Asset Management for Steam Methane Reformers at ASIA-TECH 2016
AMETEK Land announces that Business Development Manager Thomas Fortinberry will speak at the Asia Downstream Technology Forum (ASIA-TECH), October 11 to 12, 2016, in Bangkok, Thailand.
Thomas Fortinberry, whose forum topic is “Online Asset Management for Steam Methane Reformers,” joined AMETEK Land in 2016 as Business Development Manager for Industrial Gas, following a 20-year career inspecting and maintaining, during which he co-authored “Safely Operating Steam Reformers between Turnarounds: A Holistic Approach to Reliability and Maintenance.”
“I look forward to speaking at what is now established as the must-attend event for the Asian Downstream Sector,”comments Mr. Fortinberry. “My presentation will focus on the importance of using effective infrared temperature measurement and management systems to optimise the efficiency and life-span of tubes and catalysts.”
Mr Fortinberry’s presentation will include a look at AMETEK Land’s soon-to-be-released Near Infrared Borescope (NIR-B) 3XR for industrial gas applications. The NIR-B 3XR provides the operator with access to temperature data that would otherwise be unknown or highly time consuming to collect. This data allows the operator to increase the efficiency of the furnace and, therefore, improving product quality and reducing process costs.
