Amsterdam RAI has appointed Marieke Leenhouts as Aquatech Product Manager
Amsterdam -- Amsterdam RAI has appointed Marieke Leenhouts as Aquatech Product Manager. She succeeds Julia Hoferichter and is responsible for both Aquatech Amsterdam and WQA Aquatech USA. Together with exhibitions in India and China, Aquatech Global Events constitute the world’s most authoritative international trade events in the field of drinking water, waste water and process water.
Leenhouts is responsible for product development, key account management and the organisation of Aquatech Amsterdam, a biennial event that was established nearly 50 years ago. Her portfolio also includes the organisation of the Aquatech Innovation Award, the AquaStages and special features such as the AquaJobs, AquaMatch and the international pipefitting competition. Nick Mouthaan remains responsible for sales, both for Aquatech Amsterdam and the WQA Aquatech USA, as well as for Aquatech India and Aquatech China.
Next to that, Leenhouts is responsible for the WQA Aquatech USA exhibition. She will work closely together with American partner, the Water Quality Association. The next edition of the event will take place from 6 to 9 March 2012 in Las Vegas, USA.
Leenhouts has worked at Amsterdam RAI since 2004, initially as Press & PR Manager and later as Communications & PR manager of the Aquatech exhibitions, the Aquaterra conference and the International Water Week. Prior to joining the RAI she held various marketing and communication positions at MCS Public Relations, the Institute for International Research (IIR) and Randstad recruitment agency.
