An intergalactic turnout to celebrate Tricel’s French expansion

Tricel has recently continued its pace of positive expansion within the French market by means of an acquisition in the Southern region. The signing ceremony of the purchase agreement for this latest building, captured in the picture featured, takes place with the Notaire in France. Shown in attendance at the memorable occasion is (from left) Managing Director at Tricel Mike Stack, French Solicitor Florence Magnain and Notary Emanuel Comte. The occasion’s importance was personified due to the attendance of the reclusive but much revered Intergalactic Japanese robot superhero Goldorak (Grendizer in France).

Tricel has evolved from its humble beginnings as a family owned Irish operating company to become a world recognised global provider of high performance solutions for the Construction, Environmental, Water and Materials Industries. Customers for the company include engineers, multinational manufacturing companies, government agencies and many more. The company offers industry leading innovative solutions to an array of sectors, and have facilities operating in five major countries. Such is the strategic positioning of these facilities that it enables the company to supply a vast range of these products to over 50 countries worldwide, making it a highly recognised and trusted brand.

The company successfully achieved a French Government Licence for its innovative Tricel Sewage Treatment products back in 2011. Following this, they soon opened their first mainland European factory in Poitiers in the Western region of the country. From this initial location they began manufacturing a range of successful sewage treatment products for the French market. Consequently, since its initial introduction to this geographic segment the company has moved from strength to strength. This latest acquisition in the South Easterly region of the country will see the expansion of the company’s presence and a significant growth of the market share.

In 2012 Tricel received certification for its wastewater treatment systems in the neighbouring country of Germany. This resulted in Tricel becoming one of the few Irish brands who successfully hold both a French and German Government licence. These were just some of the landmarks on a decisive journey of positive and strategic expansion for the group. Over the past number of years, the company has further developed its environmental portfolio and is currently selling into a number of major European countries including Ireland, UK, France, Belgium and Germany.

Finally, in 2016 Tricel successfully introduced their new Seta wastewater treatment plant to the French market. The Seta system is designed for both constant and intermittent influent applications.  Due to this the system is an ideal solution for residential homes, school development projects and also less frequently used holiday homes. The versatility of the system means that it is also suitable as a tertiary plant before discharge to ground through a gravel base. This newly innovative and technological system has been received extremely well and is experiencing a very buoyant start-up phase.

Accordingly, this latest French acquisition is the most recent in a series of strategic moves which will not alone strengthen Tricel as an operator in the localised French market, but also help to consolidate its strategic European presence.
