Anthias prize draw entries give insight into industry professionals’ training goals
Anthias Consulting congratulates all the winners of their recent prize draw to win one of four places on their Absolute Basics of Gas Chromatography (GC) & GC-MS and a top prize of a place on any Anthias training course of the winner’s choice.
Entries came from global professionals from an array of industries including nutrition, food production, tea research, waste management and recycling, rubbers and plastics, steel-making, health and disease, agriculture and archaeology – highlighting Gas Chromatography as a widely-used analytical technique.
The winners were O Obi, B Batham, K Moseti, S Yusuf and H Johnston.
Those who entered the draw represented a broad range of skill levels – undergraduates who have knowledge of GC theory and are looking for practical hands-on training, those experienced in complementary techniques looking for specific training, industry professionals who are new to GC, those who are looking to update their skills after a period away and some simply looking to further their career by improving their skills.
Dr Heather Johnston: 'My current GC knowledge is limited to undergraduate course demonstrations and I feel it is something that would greatly improve my CV if I had specific training in this area.'
This range of skill levels is reflected in the range of training offered by Anthias Consulting; from their Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS for those completely new to GC, to the Complete GC & GC-MS - a 5-day course providing a complete training solution, through to advanced hands-on training for those wishing to develop a particular technique or skill. Some managers entered wishing to assess potential for additional staff, helping the whole team to grow.
Participant’s training goals for 2015 were unanimously extremely focused; to use training to gain theoretical and practical knowledge and hands-on experience to further their work and research in their particular fields.
Obichere Obi: 'I want to learn all about GC and GCMS in 2015. I work in a company that supplies analytical instruments and so I want to become a pro in the operation and installation of GCs and GCMSs.'
Many of Anthias Consulting’s training courses are approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry for the purposes of Continued Professional Development (CPD); making Anthias the perfect choice for all your training needs.
