Applied Groundwater Flow and Solute Transport Modeling (VMOD2)

Theory and Hands-on Applications using Visual MODFLOW

Moscow, Russia (April 06 - 09, 2010) | Madrid, Spain (April 20 - 23, 2010)

Paris, France (June 01 - 04, 2010) | Rome, Italy (July 06 - 09, 2010)

We are organizing a 4-day Visual MODFLOW* course in Moscow, Madrid, Paris, and Rome. This course is designed to present the theory behind MODFLOW 2005, MODPATH, ZoneBudget, MT3D, and WinPEST. For more information, click here.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Using Visual MODFLOW to develop 3D groundwater flow and contaminant transport models
  • Develop a comprehensive conceptual model using Hydro GeoBuilder
  • Calibrating groundwater flow models to observe field data
  • Using MODPATH to model 3-D particle tracking for capture zone delineation
  • Using ZoneBudget to assess sub-regional water budgets within the model domain
  • Using MT3D & RT3D to simulate 3-D advective dispersive transport
  • Using WinPEST to improve model calibration and assess uncertainty

If you register 3 or more colleagues, you will be entitled to receive a 25% discount off the total cost. To register for this course, please visit
