Assent Compliance Joins the CFSI
Assent Compliance has joined the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI) as one of its first vendor members.
The CFSI provides members with access to its database of conflict-free suppliers and smelters, along with other beneficial resources. Combined with Assent’s own extensive supplier and smelter database, this partnership will create the most comprehensive supply chain data resource of its kind available to companies for their compliance initiatives.
“We are very excited to partner with the CFSI,” said Jonathan Hughes, Assent Compliance’s Director of Compliance Services. “As a vendor member, we are able to work with the CFSI to empower companies with the resources to source their minerals ethically while complying with complex regulatory requirements.”
The CFSI created and maintains the industry-standard Conflict Mineral Reporting Template (CMRT) used by the majority of companies to collect compliance data from their supply chains. They also provide resources and tools to help companies make informed decisions about conflict mineral sourcing.
As the industry-leader in conflict mineral compliance software, Assent helps hundreds of companies each year meet their regulatory requirements under the Dodd-Frank Act. Assent’s services include data collection, supply chain due diligence and smelter data validation.
