ASTM publishes new publication on materials in oxygen-enriched environments
The 12th Volume of STP 1522, “Flammability and Sensitivity of Materials in Oxygen-Enriched Environments,” is now available from ASTM International.
STP 1522 provides a diverse source of new information to the air separation industry; oxygen manufacturers; manufacturers of components for oxygen and other industrial gases service; manufacturers of materials intended for oxygen and other industrial gases service; and users of oxygen and oxygen-enriched atmospheres. It covers the aerospace, medical, industrial gases, chemical processing, steel and metals refining industries, as well as military, commercial, and recreational diving.
The 12th volume contains 28 peer-reviewed papers on the topics of ignition and combustion of metals and non-metals; oxygen compatibility of components and systems; analysis of ignition and combustion; failure analysis and safety; and aerospace and industry oxygen applications.
ASTM International is one of the largest international standards development and delivery systems in the world. ASTM International meets the World Trade Organization (WTO) principles for the development of international standards: coherence, consensus, development dimension, effectiveness, impartiality, openness, relevance and transparency. ASTM standards are accepted and used in research and development, product testing, quality systems and commercial transactions.
