Founded in 1984, MII is a highly profitable company, and its turnover last year was 21 million euros, with over 110 employees.
The reason for the takeover is the strong growth of the energy market - especially waste-to-energy - in Britain, and the AE&E group's strong position in the UK.
Von Roll Innova's current turnover is 160 million euros, while AE&E's UK turnover is 500 million euros, says the company.
The takeover means that the group now has a strong, well-established partner for its future growth plans in the UK.
It also strengthens its position as a full-line supplier in the sector of thermal waste processing, not only in terms of construction and operation, but also in monitoring and maintenance of industrial plant, thanks to its local partnership.
