Avoid manual handling of car and truck tires
Danish company develops machine to minimize work related injuries through manual handling of discarded car and truck tyres before they are processed
The Danish recycling machinery dealer ARP – Scandinavia´s sister company ARP – Safe is now introducing a newly developed machine (Tyre Pre Cleaner) that removes foreign elements hidden in discarded car and truck tyres before they are processed.
The machine consists of an upright conveyor where several catchers are placed in a specific pattern to align the tyres. The tyres are transported to the end of the main conveyor, where they in an upright position fall down onto a specially angled boom and then down onto a secondary conveyor and by means of speed and inertia the tyres are emptied of foreign elements.
Manager and owner of the company Mr. Heine Jensen says:
Handling of tyres is and can be a strain with following injuries due to the hard manual labour involved, our product minimizes these risk factors. Furthermore there is great risk of damage to shredders and processing machinery because of the foreign elements hidden inside the tyres.
The principal of the Tyre Pre Cleaner lays in various factors, where speed, inertia and angels play a major role in emptying of the tires.
The design allows easy integration into any new or existing tyre processing plant.
