AWWA and SWAN unite to elevate smart water strategies at upcoming symposium
DENVER -- The American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) are pleased to announce the first-ever joint International Smart Water Symposium to be held on November 10-11, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
The International Smart Water Symposium will explore innovative, data-driven solutions and smart water strategies to address global water and wastewater challenges. The symposium will highlight thought leaders and utility case studies with facilitated discussions, workshops, exhibits and networking opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and best practices with peers and learn from multiple perspectives.
“We are thrilled to join forces with AWWA to put Smart Water on the center stage at this critical time for the water industry,” SWAN Executive Director Amir Cahn said. “As a fast-growing technology hub, Austin is the perfect setting to bring together global smart water innovators.”
“We see our partnership with the Smart Water Networks Forum as a way to help shape what’s next for the water industry,” AWWA CEO David LaFrance said. “AWWA wants to continue to push innovative solutions to the forefront, and this symposium provides a powerful step in that direction.”
