DENVER, CO -- The American Water Works Association (AWWA) announced today it will host the “A Drought Is Coming: Plan for It Now!” webcast on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
The webcast will focus on how water utilities can effectively respond to drought conditions. Speakers will discuss the main elements of successful drought management planning and how to mitigate short-or long-term water shortages.
Additionally, attendees will learn how to formulate and integrate drought response plans that work while avoiding common pitfalls. Several examples of the effective execution of utility drought response plans will be presented.
