AWWA`s annual utility compensation survey now available
The American Water Works Association has announced the release of its annual compensation survey, which is available as three products for utilities serving different population ranges - over 100,000, 10,000 to 100,000 and under 10,000.
The 2017 AWWA Compensation Survey provides current data and analyses on salaries, salary ranges and compensation practices in the water and wastewater utility industry. As utilities work to keep pace with a tightening labor market, the compensation survey:
Compares salaries of similar utilities by filtering data by type of ownership or management, population size and total number of employees;
References salary range levels for each position – as well as 50th percentile, company-weighted average pay and employee-weighted average pay;
Compares similar jobs and job titles;
Reviews recent changes to overall staffing levels, workplace policies and cost-control initiatives; and
Accesses segmented data for all participants, water-only participants and water-and-wastewater participants.
The 2017 AWWA Compensation Survey serving large, medium-sized and small utilities are available in AWWA’s online store.
