AWWA seminar - financial management: cost of service rate-making

DENVER, CO -- The American Water Works Association (AWWA) has announced it will host the Financial Management: Cost of Service Rate-Making seminar from Sept. 21 through Sept. 23, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nev. This three-day course is AWWA’s best-selling seminar, using time-honored strategies to teach attendees how to precisely and correctly set rates.

As water utilities face escalating operational and infrastructure costs, increasing regulatory pressure, and continued public demand for clean, affordable water, financial management and capital planning are more critical than ever.

Seminar attendees will learn to evaluate financial policies, avoid rate shock, recover the full cost-of-service with rates, and much more.

Seminar instructors will be Todd Cristiano, Manager of Rate Administration at Denver Water, and Thomas E. Gould, National Technical Director of Finance and Rates, HDR Engineering.

AWWA is the authoritative resource for knowledge, information, and advocacy to improve the quality and supply of water in North America and beyond.
