AWWA wins two EXCEL Awards from Association Media & Publishing

Drinking Water Week campaign and media kit recognized

DENVER -- The American Water Works Association announced today that it has won two EXCEL Awards from Association Media & Publishing, the largest and most prestigious award program that exclusively recognizes excellence and leadership in nonprofit association media, publishing, marketing and communications.

The winners of the 35th annual EXCEL Awards represent various works in the categories of editorial, graphics, advertising and marketing and online publishing.

AWWA was awarded Silver for its 2014 Drinking Water Week campaign in the category of “Media Innovation: Integrated Mixed-Media Campaign (Educational)”. Drinking Water Week is an annual weeklong celebration AWWA and water professionals participate in to recognize the importance of water.

AWWA was also awarded Silver for its 2015 Marketing Portfolio in the category of “Promotional Publications: Media Kit (Print)”. The Marketing Portfolio provides current and potential advertisers with the information they need to advertise to AWWA’s audience.

“AWWA strives to equip the water industry and our members with material and tools that are of the highest quality to get their jobs done effectively,” said AWWA CEO David LaFrance. “With the bestowment of two EXCEL Awards from Association Media & Publishing, we are thrilled that our work has been honored in such a prestigious way.”

The EXCEL Awards were presented during a gala last month in Washington, D.C.
