Kaegiswil, Switzerland -- Axetris AG announced today that it received the 2016 “Supplier of the Year” award from Lumentum (former JDSU) – the market-leading manufacturer of photonic components, modules, and systems enabling flexible, intelligent datacom and telecom networks.
Axetris General Manager Thomas Hessler accepted the award from Lumentum President and CEO Alan Lowe. Thomas Hessler received an inscribed artwork on stage at the Lumentum annual Supplier Day held recently in San Jose, CA, USA. Out of the hundreds of Lumentum suppliers, only few are invited to the event and then only a handful actually get an award. The “Supplier of the Year” award is the highest honor given by Lumentum to any of its suppliers.
“Our relationship with Lumentum is based on more than 10 years of successful cooperation, and Axetris takes great pride in serving Lumentum as a prime partner for performance critical components. This award is a great recognition of what Axetris stands for technical competence and technology for value-added products and a reliable partnership.“
In 2015, Axetris also received the “Excellence in Quality” award from Lumentum (at that time, operating as the CCOP business segment of JDSU) for its outstanding quality performance and was nominated for the “Supplier of the Year” award.
