Salford, UK: April 19 2013 -- Axion Polymers has re-structured its product development team with a sharper focus on customer-specific requirements as demand continues to grow for its quality-assured 100% recycled polymers, toll compounding and laboratory testing services.
Steve Bell, who has worked as Product Development Manager since the Salford recycling facility opened in 2006, is promoted to Commercial Operations Manager with wider responsibility across the site’s production and technical sales operations.
Joining him is Colin Boult, who brings more than 30 years’ broad thermo-plastics, compounding and extrusion industry experience to his new Laboratory and Production Support role.
Working alongside Steve, he will focus on managing production as well as new product development and materials testing, including external customer services. Colin said: “Having always worked with virgin materials, I’m looking forward to advancing new and exciting opportunities for Axion’s recycled polymer range in line with market shifts towards more sustainable plastic products.”
Steve commented: “Axion continues to be at the forefront of recycled engineering plastics and our range of high quality polymers recovered from end-of-life products, such as ELV, WEEE and post-industrial sources, is expanding rapidly to meet new and existing customer requirements.”
