Phoenix, AZ, November 16th, 2014 -- Today, the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video. Their newest production discusses how basements and crawl spaces can impact a home’s indoor air quality (IAQ).
Depending on the type of home and the region of the country, a house is likely either built on a slab, above a crawl space or over a basement. The type of foundation used to build a home can allow various situations to occur that could impact the indoor air quality of the overlying property.
“It is important for people to recognize that how a property is constructed can have an impact on the indoor air quality of their home,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network. “Situations can arise involving moisture and mold, radon, vapor intrusion, asbestos, lead, combustion gases and other air quality concerns. We hope this new video helps to shed some light on things to be on the lookout for in a basement or crawl space.”
This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that work to protect the public’s health. Sponsors include: EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental, Indoor Environmental Consultants, Maine Indoor Air Quality Council, 2015 Northeast IAQ & Energy Conference andHealthy Indoorsmagazine to name just a few.
