The company BASF Española in Tarragona-Spain (http://www.basf.es/ecp1/Spain/es/) has just acquired one BM-Advance respirometry system and, as part of the purchase, a Respirometry training cycle is on the way.
In general, this BM respirometer will be used for the biological process management and especially for studies on the influence that may have different values of temperature, pH and ammonium levels in the process (especially in the nitrification), as well as the development of a practical and fast toxicity tests that could determine the maximum volume that the process is capable to treat the wastewater without running the risk to fall into acute toxicity levels.
